Medical-grade extracorporeal shockwave therapy

Medical-grade extracorporeal shockwave therapy

We use extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) to enhance your healing process. This non-invasive treatment method uses shockwaves to address inflammation, alleviate pain, and reduce tenderness. Additionally, it boosts metabolism, facilitating healing across various causes of disease.

About extracorporeal shockwave therapy

There are two types of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT): focused shockwave therapy (FSWT) and radial shockwave therapy (RSWT). We most often use a combination of focused and radial shockwaves, which have proven to be the most effective and have shown outstanding results.

  • Focused shockwave therapy

Focused shockwave therapy is used for treatments that require targeting tissue at a deeper level, such as tissue close to bone, calcifications, or delayed unions and non-unions. This treatment can effectively address a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. It is gaining popularity due to increased treatment options, depth, precision, and patient comfort in more acute cases. Focused shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can reduce pain and inflammation and promote tissue regeneration.

  • Radial shockwave therapy

Radial shockwave therapy treats larger superficial areas (3-4 cm depth). This non-invasive treatment leads to a cascade of beneficial effects, such as increased blood flow and metabolic activity to the area, reversal of chronic inflammation, stimulation of collagen, and dissolution of calcium build-up.
